Consolidated university prepare not approved by MSBA

It’s again to the drawing board for Scituate General public Universities following the Massachusetts School Setting up Authority did not accept the proposal to consolidate the Cushing and Hatherly elementary faculties, and create one new university, into its program for 2019.

“There were basically a lot more urgent making wants than ours in the commonwealth this year,” reported Superintendent Ron Griffin.  “It’s disappointing.”

Scituate General public Schools hired Habeeb & Associates to perform a detailed architectural and engineering assessment on a few of the town’s four elementary colleges – Cushing, Hatherly, and Wampatuck.  The assessment outlined multiple probable solutions, the majority of which termed for consolidating Cushing and Hatherly, both of those created in the 1960s, and developing a new faculty to provide people learners.
